BlogRush.com: Not Ready for the Blogosphere
By StrangeWork.com: I’ve decided to remove the BlogRush.com widget from my sidebar. If you read my earlier post on BlogRush then you’re familiar with what BlogRush is.
I gave BlogRush 2.5 weeks to show me some results. What did I get you ask? 3 hits. 3 HITS!
Now I understand I don’t post as much as some of the bigger blogs out there, but 3 hits seems a little low for a “Rush” of blog traffic.
I also was not a big fan of their dashboard. For almost a week the dashboard page had “under construction” banners everywhere. I think overall BlogRush isn’t quite ready to be a mainstream widget. Will they get there someday? Maybe, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Looking for a good alternative? Jeff did a great write-up on CLIQin.com, which now has real estate on my sidebar.

Wow. Since your sidebar is wider than mine, the widget looks better on your site than it does on mine. Thanks for linking up to me and ditching BlogRush. Everything I said about CLIQin makes you want to believe that things will be much better and we’ll see results but it’s going to take a little bit of time. I just need to invite some good blogs into the network and build it up.

Yeah I like CLIQin MUCH better and it just makes more sense to promote blogs you actually read rather than random blogs. The “Display Newest Post” doesn’t seem to be updating properly as it still shows my post from the other day. I’m going to take a look at that now.

It’s doing the same thing for me as well. Perhaps it’s time to contact their customer support department and figure out whats wrong.

Brad,
I’ve noticed that the BlogRush widget does not display properly on my blog when using IE, but shows up fine using Flock.
I think you’re right, they’re not ready for prime time.
By the way, nice WP theme, very Web 2.0

Yeah, I was contemplating joining BlogRush and putting
their widget up onto my blog.I am so glad I saw your blog.I have decided not to now. Great blog style you’ve got……
