By StrangeWork.com: This weekend is an extremely busy weekend for local Indianapolis tech enthusiasts! Startup Weekend Bloomington and BarCamp Indy both take place this weekend. I am planning on attending both events and am excited to announce that SnapFoo.com is an official sponsor of both events!

Founders work together to create an idea and turn that idea into reality in 72 short hours. Participants are all equal founders in the newly developed startup.
I was able to attend Startup Weekend West Lafayette and couldn’t wait for Startup Weekend to come back!

Presentations include Going Green with Technology by Rajan Chandi, Linux Desktop: Making the Switch by Pascal Calarco, and The Future of Mobile Web which I will be presenting.
I’m really looking forward to meeting many of my local digital friends, who until now I have only communicated with over the web. I also plan on live streaming the entire weekend on Ustream.tv so be sure to check back on Friday for the links!
Indiana is finally heading down the right road for technology and this weekend is driving the bus!

By StrangeWork.com: I’m busy, if that wasn’t already obvious. I’m in the early stages of moving the entire Batteries.com warehouse from location A to location B, so as you can imagine things are pretty busy for me at work.
I’m also very busy working on SnapFoo.com and iHotties.net. We’ve been hard at work on big updates most recently with the launch of the SnapFoo Bebo Application.
I also have a couple big events coming up I’m preparing for. First I will be attending Startup Weekend Bloomington, which is the weekend of February 8th. Second is BarCamp Indianapolis on Saturday February 9th, where I will be giving a presentation on The Future of Mobile Web.
February is shaping up to be a busy month, but I would much rather be busy than bored!

By StrangeWork.com: I just received my latest book in the SitePoint collection, The Art & Science of JavaScript.
As always SitePoint has gathered some of the greatest minds in modern JavaScript to collaborate on an amazingly easy to follow book.
The Art & Science covers some great topics including Google Maps and Flickr mashups, building your own fully accessible 3D maze, draggable and sortable table columns, and much more!
SitePoint has always amazed me with the beautiful layout and design of their books. Code is easily readable in a fixed-width font with a blue background. The book also displays Tips, Notes, and Warning icons to help expand upon certain points.
This book is geared towards anyone who is familiar with JavaScript and wants to take their skills to the next level.

By StrangeWork.com: And here we are at another year down. It was a good year all around, but I’m looking forward to 2008.
I have a bunch of great projects in the works for 2008 that should make for a fun year! I hope to be announcing some shortly after the new year.
SnapFoo.com is growing steadily. Being in beta using the invite only method is a great help in scaling the launch.
iHotties.net is making a comeback with a soon to be launched FaceBook app.
I have a couple podcasting gigs in the works. No details yet, but soon…very soon!
Here’s to you and yours this New Years! I hope all the best for you in 2008! RAWK!

By StrangeWork.com: Well it’s almost a new year and I’m in my usual dash to the finish line. I’m always real busy this time of year.
I just returned from my Oakland trip with my Dad. We went to the Raiders vs. Colts game on Sunday and witnessed magic! The Raiders held their own! Course we all know Real Mean Wear Black right?
I recently passed my one year of blogging mark. My first post was on Dec 5, 2006 about my innovator goal. Still working on it.
An Interactive Hotties Network Facebook app has begun development. It’s about half-way there.
I won’t be posting as frequently until after the new year, but I’ll be right back in the thick of it for 2008!
Be sure to show support for Susan Reynolds. Amazing show of support from Twitter and Flickr.

By StrangeWork.com: besides wearing flowers in your hair? Ok that was a bad Scott McKenzie reference. I’m leaving tomorrow morning for sunny Oakland/San Francisco for a mini-vacation with my Dad. The main reason for our trip is to watch the Oakland Raiders smash the Indianapolis Colts. Of course by “smash” I mean “get slaughtered by”, but being able to watch the Raiders play at HOME will be an amazing experience regardless of the game outcome.
I’ve been a Raiders fan since I was 12 years old watching Bo Jackson shred defenses, but have never witnessed the Raiders play at home. I was always the fan rooting for the Raiders when they played the Colts in Indianapolis. Well no longer!
So back to my original question. What should I do in Oakland, San Francisco, or Palo Alto? Are there any spots I have to visit? As a web 2.0 junkie this is a pretty significant trip. Some of the top websites call Palo Alto home and I would hate to miss some of the top spots simply because I don’t know of them.
So let’s hear it. Where should I go? What should I do? Any top restaurants? Comment away!
