SnapFoo

Project X has been named, SnapFoo.com! We are well into the development stage of creating SnapFoo.com. I know there are still many programming nights ahead, but I feel really strongly about this new project. My lips are still sealed on any specifics, but there will be more info to come soon.

Make sure you sign-up with your email address to receive our official launch email.

Startup Weekend

I’ve been watching Startup Weekend today. The concept is simple – lock a bunch of geeks in a room for an entire weekend and develop a new startup company. They’ve been broadcasting live all weekend on Ustream.tv. It’s pretty amazing what a few geeks in a room can accomplish. Imagine the possibilities if my programming crew were local!

Pownce.com Ups the Ante

There’s a new Web 2.0 site in town and their name is Pownce.com. Ponwce.com logo What is Pownce you ask? In their own words:

Pownce is a way to send stuff to your friends

Simple enough right? Well sort of. Pownce is basically Twitter 2.0, allowing you to send just about anything: music, photos, messages, links, events, and more.

Kevin RosePownce is the new start-up from internet wiz Kevin Rose and friends. To sign-up you must receive an invite from a current member. This seems to be the new way to launch web 2.0 sites, but I kind of like the invitation system.

I haven’t had a chance to explore Pownce completely, but once I do I will offer a full write-up on my experiences using the new site.

Until then be sure to check out my account:

Watch me Live!

I know you have all been waiting for it! UStream.tv LogoThe time has come!

Watch Brad Williams LIVE!

I just launched my first Ustream.tv channel showcasing my life as an IT Director by day and a Web 2.0 Entrepreneur by night! Watch my success and struggles online and live!

Why am I do this you ask? Good question. I really have no idea why or what I hope to accomplish, but I am enjoying it so why not?!

On a side note I’m going to make it a point to blog daily! I’ve been slacking lately.

Happy Independence Day!

4th of July fell on a Wednesday this year. Blah!
4th of july
Holidays during the week always end up sucking! It’s hard to go out and have a good time knowing you have to be at work bright and early in the morning. I did manage to see some fireworks in the neighborhood, but didn’t catch any of the big shows.

We did have a really nice cookout at work on Tuesday, so at least I can say I did go to a cookout and had a hot dog! I’m already looking forward to next year. The 4th of July falls on a Friday in 2008!

Friday + July 4th = Good Times!
